Lucy out for a swim

One of my favorite ladies of Guadalupe, Lucy, an adult female great white shark (Carcharodon carcharias), gracefully swimming by for a nice photo opportunity. Despite Lucy’s injured caudal fin (tail fin), she still manages to move around quite well and maintains a healthy weight. Lucy has had this injury for years and is a testament to the resilience of her species.
